KULTlog (kultlog.com) is an independent media tracking platform operated by a single developer. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

When you create an account and use KULTlog, we collect:

• Email address (used for authentication and account recovery)
• Username (handle) and display name (shown on your public profile)
• Profile picture (if you choose to upload one)
• Ratings, reviews, diary entries, and lists (the content you create)
• Follow/friend relationships (to power the social feed)
• Basic usage data such as when you last logged in

We do not collect payment information directly. Payments are handled by Stripe, which has its own privacy policy.

We use your data to:

• Provide and operate the KULTlog service
• Display your profile and activity to other users
• Send account-related notifications (e.g. email verification)
• Improve the service over time

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising.

KULTlog uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase: database and authentication (data stored in EU region)
• Vercel: hosting and deployment
• Spotify API: music metadata (no personal data shared)
• IGDB: game metadata (no personal data shared)
• AniList / Jikan: anime and manga metadata (no personal data shared)
• OMDb: film and TV metadata (no personal data shared)
• Open Library: book metadata (no personal data shared)
• Stripe: payment processing (if applicable)

Your data is stored securely via Supabase with servers in the EU. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your data (via the Import/Export feature)

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@kultlog.com or delete your account directly from Settings.

KULTlog uses only essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

KULTlog is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will note the date of the last update at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
